Le parole hanno un peso proprio come le pietre. Nessuno più capisce la loro importanza, utilizzandole con troppa leggerezza. Per questo le parole sono state scritte in Braille. Vogliono essere incomprensibili ai più. Possono essere comprese soltanto da una cerchia ristretta di persone: i non vedenti e chi conosce questo alfabeto. Tra le parole selezionate vi sono quelle più consumate: amami, credimi, dimenticami, ecc. Vi è una trasposizione metaforica del peso della pietra al peso della parola, per cui la parola, imprigionata nella materia per non venir dispersa, assume il peso dell’oggetto stesso.

Words have weight, just like stones. No one understands their significance, if used too lightly. That’s why the words were written in Braille. They want to be incomprehensible to the majority. They can be understood only by a small circle of people: the blind and those who know this alphabet. Among the selected words are those most worn out: love me, believe me, forget me, etc. There is a metaphorical transposition from the weight of the stone to the weight of the word, so that the word, imprisoned in the material to prevent its dispersal, takes on the weight of the object itself.
