Letto a dondolo/Rocking bed

L'idea nasce osservando una coppia, che sul pedalò andava per mare.
Osservavo i loro volti, rivolti l’un l’altro, parevano felici. Eppure il pedalò saliva e scendeva, assecondando il ritmo delle onde. Così probabilmente era il loro rapporto, comune a tutte le relazioni sentimentali: alti e bassi, perennemente in bilico tra serenità e maremoti interiori.
Il "Letto salva coppia" resta in equilibrio solamente se la coppia resta vicina al centro del letto, oppure all'inverso se si separa consensualmente.
Se solo uno dei partner si allontana a dispetto dell'altro, ecco che il letto si sbilancia dal suo lato e per effetto della gravità il partner "abbandonato" è costretto a raggiungerlo.

The idea came while watching a couple on a paddle boat at sea. I watched their faces, facing each other, they seemed happy.
Yet the paddle boat rose and fell, in sync the rhythm of the waves. So was probably their relationship, common to all couples: ups and downs, perpetually poised between serenity and inner tsunamis. The “couple-saving rocking bed” remains in equilibrium only if the couple remains close to the centre of the bed or, conversely, if it splits up by mutual consent. If only one partner departs in spite of the other, the bed will tilt on its side and, due to gravity, the “abandoned” partner is forced to move towards him/her.
