Dietro l'apparente immobilismo delle pietre, affiora nell'architettura del "Cuore delle cose", la leggibilità del processo, lento e ineluttabile, di trasformazione insito nella natura d'ogni cosa.
Di fronte al "Cuore delle cose" precipitiamo dolcemente nelle dimensioni dell'eterno e dell'infinito, dove si fa strada la consapevolezza che la realtà intorno a noi è in progressiva, inarrestabile trasformazione e che la fine apparente di ogni consistenza prelude, senza soluzione di continuità, a manifestazioni sempre diverse di qualcosa che si rinnova. La pietra si sfalda, e nei millenni produce sabbia che, ricompattandosi, genera forme prima inesistenti e pronte, infinite volte ancora, a lasciarsi consumare. Il linguaggio di questo rifugio è essenziale, fatto di sostanza che sgretolandosi si spoglia nel tempo della forma originaria per mostrare il vero "cuore" dell’architettura, celato al suo interno. L'uomo progetta una forma interna che sarà il mare ed il vento con la loro azione erosiva a scolpire, rivelare.
Il progettista semina e abbandona l'architettura al suo divenire, la natura coltiva questo messaggio per poterlo trasmettere a chi visiterà questo luogo nel tempo.

Behind the apparent immobility of stones, there emerges the architecture of the “Heart of Things”, the readability of the slow and inevitable process of transformation inherent in the nature of all things.
Faced with the Heart of Things, we gently fall into the dimensions of eternity and endlessness, where there is a growing awareness that the reality around us is in a progressive, irreversible transformation and that the apparent end of each substance always preludes, seamlessly, to ever-differing manifestations of something that renews itself.
The stone flakes off and, over the millennia, produces sand which, re-compacting itself, generates forms that did not exist before, ready to let themselves be worn through countless times again.
The language of this shelter is essential. It is made of substance that, as it crumbles with the passing of time, loses its original shape, to show the true "heart" of the architecture hidden inside it. Man designs an internal shape which the sea and the wind, through their erosive action, will sculpt and reveal.
