Blu intenso, come un frammento di Mar Mediterraneo. Nascoste tra le fibre di questo tappeto si trovano dei ricami raffiguranti uomini, che possiamo scoprire solo accarezzando il tessuto.
I ricami, che raffigurano degli uomini distesi in mezzo al mare, sono realizzati in modo che la composizione possa sembrare ora lieve ora grave, a seconda di come la si percepisce. Gli uomini ricamati, possono apparire distesi ad amare il mare, oppure tragicamente sparsi. Il tappeto è concepito come un'istantanea dall'alto. Questo progetto lavora sull'ambiguità della rappresentazione, in bilico tra l'immagine sognante dell'estate e il godimento delle vacanze contro l'immagine terrifica, e purtroppo attuale, dei migranti dispersi nel Mar Mediterraneo.
Anche il titolo del progetto, "Decoro Mediterraneo" lavora su due livelli: il decoro inteso come decorazione e il decoro inteso come complesso di valori e dignità.

Deep blue, like a fragment of the Mediterranean Sea. Hidden within the fibers of this carpet are embroideries depicting men, which can only be discovered by gently caressing the fabric.
The embroideries, portraying men lying in the middle of the sea, are crafted so that the composition may feel either light or heavy, depending on how it is perceived. The embroidered men may appear to be lying down, loving the sea, or tragically scattered. The carpet is conceived as a snapshot from above. This project plays on the ambiguity of representation, balancing between the dreamy image of summer and the enjoyment of vacations, and the terrifying, yet sadly current, image of migrants lost in the Mediterranean Sea.
Even the project's title, "Decoro Mediterraneo" operates on two levels: decorum as decoration and decorum as a set of values and dignity.
